Announcing the retirement of Director Michael Hales

On 30th June 2011, Michael Hales retired from the Practice to realise his dream to live life at a more leisurely pace on the other side of the English Channel.

Michael joined the Practice (Bundey & Rodgers Architects at the time) in 1982 and became a Partner in 1988. He will be retained as a consultant on an arms length basis.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Michael's retirement. He has been a stalwart of the practice and is very highly regarded among his many loyal clients. At the same time we move into an exciting new era that he will unfortunately not be a part of.

I'm sure you will join me in wishing Michael all the best for the future.

Announcing the appointment of Directors Antony Kavanagh & Chris Woods

To coincide with Michael's retirement and general restructuring of the business I am delighted to announce the appointment of two new Directors Antony Kavanagh and Chris Woods.

Antony is currently an Associate having originally joined the Practice in 1994. He is highly experienced in all aspects of the design and delivery of healthcare premises. His residential work ranges from small-scale bespoke projects through to large scale mixed use developments and conversions, and master planning, for mixed use and leisure projects. Antony is also an external tutor and mentor for both under and post graduate students at Leicester's De Montfort University.

Chris joined the Practice in 2008 and brought with him extensive experience in general purpose residential and specialist residential care development, for the luxury, private and affordable markets. Chris has been working alongside Michael for the past three years and continues to build on the relationships established by Michael whilst developing new clients within the various sectors.

In addition I look forward to taking over the helm and confirm that Martin Scott will continue to assist in business development in his capacity as Associate.

Moving forward the four of us enjoy the ongoing support from a long-serving and dedicated team of both technical and administrative staff, who look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.

Yours sincerely
